How to get here by car

The distance from Dublin to Maynooth is 15 miles and takes approximately 30 minutes.

• Leave Dublin city centre, going west on the R111, and take the N4, (signposted The West).
• Continue straight on to the M4. Leave motorway on the exit signposted Straffan, Naas, Maynooth, then at the roundabout take the 3rd exit: Road - R406 (signposted Maynooth).
• Continue straight to Maynooth village (down the Straffan Road - you will pass the dart station on your left, and the Glenroyal Hotel on your right). At the traffic lights in the square turn left.
• Turn right at the traffic lights at the Roost. Follow the main road as it turns left out of the town. The North campus is clearly signposted a few hundred metres along this road on your right.
• Alternative Route - if you cannot drive on the M4, take the exit for Leixlip (just before the M4) and continue straight through Leixlip. You will pass Intel on your right. Continue straight along this road. You will enter Maynooth near Tesco (on your left). Continue straight along this road, and you will come to the traffic lights where the main road meets the Straffan Road (large T junction). Continue straight through these lights, then turn right at the lights at the Roost (as detailed above). Continue as per the above directions.

How to get here by train

• When you leave the train station, turn left. You will see a small footbridge leading over the canal. Cross this bridge.
• Follow the canal path, and continue straight down past The Roost pub.
• Cross straight over the crossroads (Roost on your right, mobile phone shop ahead on your left.
• Follow this path straight up past the entrance to Manor Mills, and around the corner.
• Continue to walk along this road, you will see the entrance to the north campus on your right.

How to get here by bus

Maynooth is serviced by the 66 bus. See Dublin Bus' timetable for travel details.

• Get off the bus on Maynooth main street (where most people will get off).
• Continue straight along this road, crossing the T-junction with Straffan Road. (You'll see Permanent TSB on your right, and an AIB ahead on your left).
• Turn right at the traffic lights beside the Roost pub.
• Follow this path straight up past the entrance to Manor Mills, and around the corner.
• Continue to walk along this road, you will see the entrance to the north campus on your right.
