You're talking about a heavy weight gi i presume. You can get them through Sensei Mick from the Judo club at a reduced price - I paid 35 for one from him. Or, you can get them from Mullens Martial Arts shop on Capel Street. It's best to ask for a Judo gi, they're the toughest, but it depends what martial art you practice - Judo gi for Judo and Ju Jitsu (I paid an extra tenner fro a Ju Jitsu gi and it was thinner and eventually ripped).

Actually, the last one in the list is spelled "keikogi" and means practice suit.

Training suits are also available through the self defence club, for members only. The price is, similarly, 35 euro. Does anyone want one? (Make sure you know which size.)

Once I remember whether I ordered one or two from Detta (I think only one) then I'll let you know. If I only ordered one from her, I'll also (definitely) be getting on from the SDC too.

I think two size threes were ordered that day, but I don't think that they were both yours.

Why don't you order some bottoms, btw, since they're available separately? You might find them handy. Smile

Question: How long should a person be in a club before they should get a kagogi?

How long would it take a person to decide that?

Should I get a kagogi yet?
I heard it's harder to move in them....

It is harder to move in the tops, but much easier to move in the bottoms.
You can get a keikogi any time you wish, but it is no use to you if you quit so think about it carefully.

I have 3 now Estelindis but may get a 4th. I train so much that its handy to have loads.

I pay on average 35-40 for my suits, depending on who I get them off.

I know 3 may seem like a lot but I actually use them all!
