Well we made the trip out to DCU to train with the DCUMAC yesterday evening (wenesday). Here is a little account of our visit.
Arriving nice and early and eventually finding Naive we got the mats moved and set up and the most important bit- the stereo blaring.
Once the rest of their club arrived we began with a warmup led by god(his online name, not the deity himself). This consited of mainly leg streches which proved essential as the class went on. <grin> Personally I found the streches difficult because I left my flexibility at home, but the stretches were quite good. New ones we did involved being against the wall, legs out, and lowering yourself into a wide stretch. This and the raising up onto your feet in very wide stance were excellent for stretching out the muscles.
Sensei's class then moved on to teach us basic combat skills. We did movements including punch combinations and several types of kicks. We were told about what types of kicks suit what situation (mainly depending on what angle your attacker is coming at) and each proved to be quite effective. God's display as we stood in a circle was certainly impressive. I personally wouldn't like to be on the receiving end of his kicks!
The DCU-led part of the class ended with many types of puch-ups and sit-ups. The final few were pretty hard to do and involved a lot of power and control but I definetly felt them working!
Overall a quite enjoyable and impressive part of the class.
The Maynooth part of the class was led by our illustrious sensei Moxie. He began with a quick bout of rolling where the DCU people had either done it before or were quicker learners than most! Once basics were covered we moved on to some practical street moves off the 'hay-maker' hook and a straight punch. I think the DCU club liked them and certainly picked up the moves quickly. The moves involved basics like redirecting punches and projecting your body through theirs as a take-down. We also did Valley-drops (a little less practical but fun) and the DCUMAC didnt seem scared by them, at least compared to when I first did them!
The class ended with a defence from an attack to the groin with one of my favourite holds, step on the back and tork up the legs. <smile> Always a good one.
We were then bowed out by both senseis and put the mats away, ending a quite fun and enjoyable class.
I hope my summary did justice to the event. Please feel free to comment/add anything/rip the post to shreds!

Excellent summary Asmo. :)
I believe Rob (The only DCU guy who had a proper Gi!) may have done the rolls and stuff before and Ada will try anything once and for some reason we DCU guys seem to trust anyone who knows what they're talking about :)
I'm sorry I missed M0x1es part of the class. I'd love to give the valley drops a try.
How long did you have the hall until in the end? Was it 7:30 like God suggested?
Kíla also sent me a message about organising a joint night out (Sorry I didn't reply Kíla, I can't afford to buy credit!!). DCU lectures finish up on the 30th of this month so if it suits you guys how about we go to the Redbox on the 1st of May (may day?). It's a good excuse to use those passes :) I think we might have a few more left if anyone needs more :)
