I'm in London now and have been looking for the World Kobudo Federation headquarters for the last two days now with mixed results. So far, I've narrowed it down to a suburb called Enfield but have three addresses in Enfield which aren't anywhere near each other:

Community Centre,
Ponders End,
Enfield
Middlesex

195 Lonsdale Drive,
Enfield
Middlesex

71-77 Lancaster Road,
Enfield
Middlesex
EN20DW

El-stumped-o, si...and what I really want is a phone number for them!

Classes aren't running this weekend because one of the senior black belts is getting married and all the rest of them are going to the wedding.
Bugger this, so, I'm off to have a tete-a-tete with uncle Vlad andtry to put the day's trials and tribble-ations* behind me.

Try not to get too acquainted - you wouldn't want to show up in a state for class now, would you... <grin>

Well, I went.

The first thing I'd like to say is that I managed to sprain my arse (?!) in the course of proceedings. Class tonight was taken by Sensei Gary Maars (am I spelling this right?) and Sensei Rob Clarke.
My night started off with Sokei Morris teaching me a variation on a yellow-belt technique that I could practice with Angelfeet and his brother and continued on that form.
The rest of the night I spent the night training brown syllabus with a purple belt called Patrick, and having the two sensies womble over every so often to blow my mind with variations which, while totally obvious and intuitive, were only obvious and intuitive after they were pointed out!
All in all great fun but, my Christ do they ever like their beatings!
I'll be sore for a week.
On the other hand, at least my hand wasn't busted...thank God!
