Disclaimer: This thread is what's known as "testing the water". There is no guarantee that anything here will be implemented in class but we'll try to fit in as many as possible. Just starting up a thread to see what people want more of and what people want less of in the coming months. Personally I'd like to do a nother DCUMAC cross-training session or two and an increase in the amount of sparring we do.
Any suggestions?

Some kind of dex training. I hate it but need to increase speed and reflexes.

| Would like to see the return of some regular conditiong training - and I agree 100 percent with the sparring training, and maybe some striking training - not just bag and pads, but taught principles of striking, if u know wot i mean..

It'd be nice to throw some high-ish level techniques in while we still can - come the start of the year we'll have a class of beginners who can't fall again, so if we could practice some of the bigger stuff now it might be easier. That said, I'm not sure what big stuff to be done (maybe some of the stuff from higher level syllabus - blue or purple onwards?).
Next year, I think we should try and enter some more competitions - keep up to date on what's running and when and send more people to them, just to up the general level of experience.
A cross session or two would also be cool.
I'll post up again if/when I think of some more.

Because unless they charged something like 10c a class, it would raise the price considerably...poor students, remember?

We charge per semester rather than class for exactly the reasons mentioned by max - we realise that plenty of students are pretty darn broke a lot of the time, and can't afford €5 a class. So €5 a semester is a much more reasonable investment. The club does just fine with the money it makes from capitation, membership, mat fees, and other income, so we don't need to charge more for classes.
