We have a number of exciting events organised this year including guest speakers for psychology orientated people and some alternative ones in conjunction with other societies! We also have the annual Christmas party in the Glenroyal and we are hoping to go ice skating before this. We also are planning a dream analysis and body language interpretation workshops so check back regularly for updates on dates or check out the notice board.
lecture series:
"a day in the life of...."
We are running a lecture series that will hopefully shed light on the different area's of the psychology arena. We hope to include psychologist from all the different area's of the discipline including, clinical, educational and health psychologists, psychotherapists, neurophysiologists. Stay tuned to the notice boards and website for constant updates.

Dr Todd Morrison, a prominent and well respected researcher from Canada is presenting a lecture on reflections gay male pornography. Todd has done extensive research in four main areas: body image (in particular, the drive for muscularity); stereotyping, prejudice and discrimination; pornography; and prostitution. His talk takes place on November 29th at 6.30 in JHL5. All are welcome to attend.
Other lecture series that we are hosting in conjunction with other societies is the origins of homosexuality with the GLB and Biology Society. We also hope to have a prominent researcher talk about Einstein's brain with the Physics society
workshops:
We hope to host a couple of workshops during the year including a dream analysis weekend where participants will be thought how to analyse and interpret dreams. We also hope to have a body language talk/workshop which will allow the members to study and understand the nuisances of body language.

Go-Karting/Ice Skating
Due to the popularity of the Quasar and Bowling evening and under the suggestions of those members that attended we are currently trying to organise a trip to Go-Karting and also Ice Skating before the Christmas Party.

Well as per usual we have our Christmas party organised since last year! ha-ha As every year, I am sure it will be much fun for all who attend. those who have been there before know what its all about and what to expect and those of you who have not been there before, then expect anything!
