My name is Jason Leone and I am the head basketball coach at Keystone College in Scranton, PA. I am contacting you in regard to a player I coached at Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA, an NCAA Div II school. Mercyhurst College competes in the top league in the country for Div II. Most of the all-conference players are Div I transfers. The player I want to recommend is Richard Field. He is a 6-5 forward who can play inside and out. He averaged 11.7 ppg and almost 7 rebs/game last season for a team that won 18 games and finished in 2nd place in that conference. He shoots the ball extremely well from 3 and can take any 4 man off the dribble. I have placed 7 players overseas in my 8 years of coaching and all have been very successful. I highly recommend him. He will be a very good player for someone. He had an offer in the 2nd Division in Germany in place but at the last minute the coach had a center from a Div I school come open and they took him instead.
I really think this kid is good enough and I want to get him placed. He is a great kid on op of being a great player. He does not drink or smoke and is a great teammate…very unselfish and can play with 4 other guys on the floor. He will be low-maintenance off the floor. Please let me know if you can help get him something as soon as possible. Just so you know, Mercyhurst will graduate two 6-10 guys in the coming years that were Div I transfers and I may be able to help you get them in the future if we can start a relationship.
