www.streetballireland.com was founded in 2004 to cover streetball and up and coming players in Ireland. The site initally went under the name www.streetballireland.tk. In Spetember 2004 the site became streetballireland.com and the message board was launched shortly after.

During 2005 streetballireland.com grew in popularity and began to diversify its coverage. The site now covers all aspects of Basketball in Ireland. Streetballireland.com strives to provide universal coverage to all levels of basketball in Ireland.

In 2005 streetballireland.com ran its first all star game which was a huge success thanks to the support of the fans, players and AND1 Ireland. In 2006 we held our second annual All star Game, again sponsored by AND1 and in aid of Brainwave, the irish Epilepsy Association. The game and dunk contest were off the chain with players from Ireland, America, Belgium and Australia. The game recievd National exposure on Radio ( 2FM, Anna Livia and News Talk 106) and in the papers ( The Echo).

Streetballireland.com has also added free to use resources. The site has Events, Players Available and Players Wanted pages which are all free to use and offer a valuable service to fans and players of all abilities.

Streetballireland has 17 affiliate players who are some of Irelands most tallented and exciting players. These players will be representing streetballireland.com in tournaments and events in the future.

The site will continue to improve its services and coverage in the future and we will continue to bring you Irelands top basketball action.
