The Geminid Meteor Shower

This photograph shows a geminid meteor against a long-exposure of stars. Isn't it cool? Image taken fromNASA Website

The Geminid meteor show will reach maximum on the night of Wednesday December 14th. The Geminids are one of the most reliable meteor showers, and should produce hourly rates of 10-15 meteors in most places. Astro2 will be out observing on the South Campus that night, watch out for further details! There's more information to be found on Wes Stone's website
